Why Is ASUU Right In The Ongoing Strike? It is no longer news that this 2022 ASUU strike is 5 months plus today. This analysis will explain why ASUU is right.
It’s no longer a gainsaying that the ASUU strike has been maiming the Nigerian educational system. I agreed. Many undergraduates’ dreams have suffered serious frustration due to the incessant face-off between the Academic Staff Union of Universities ( ASUU) and the Nigerian Federal Government. Sadly, this strike has become a regular thing every Nigerian student must encounter.
ASUU always claim that they want their voices to be heard. They want the Federal Government to meet up with their demands. Though, a lot of people have kicked against those demands, on the ground that they are self-centered and too selfish. But, to me, ASUU’s demands are reasonable.

Adopting the University Accountability and Transparency System (UTAS) over Integrated Personnel Payroll System ( IPPIS), implementing the 2009 agreement, and revitalizing funds among others should not be a herculean task for the Federal Government to meet up. If they have so much care about the educational system of the nation. But, the issue on the front burner is: that our country is blessed with clueless and half-baked leaders, who do not see education as a means of ensuring development.
Meanwhile, if ASUU ends this war _that is after all their demands have been met _ they will never receive our forgiveness if they embark on another industrial action on fresh terms. Because, what will be the essence of the industrial action when they only end this to discuss how to strike again?
