TANKO MOHAMMED RESIGNATION: CORRUPTION PROBE STILL IMINENT FOR NIGERIA’S MOST DESPICABLE JUSTICE.
The Senate on Tuesday declared that allegations against Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad will be investigated despite his resignation as the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).
The resolution of the Red Chamber followed a motion by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters (insert chairman’s name) on account of Tanko’s unbridled financial profligacy during controversial tenure.
Justice must always trump injustice, and for Tanko who stands as Nigeria’s most despicable CJN, his controversial incompetence as a serving justice as well as all illegal acts of impunity tantamount to haemorrhage of injustice will now be subjected to merciless scrutiny.

Seared on the incompetent palms of Tanko is all imprints of Nigeria’s current political catastrophic, right from the denial of justice for Atiku after the rigged 2019 presidential election, down to the fostering of a 4th placed Hope Uzodinma as Imo state governor. The later is the genesis of the crisis and insecurity in the Eastern heartland.
Tanko will now face the petition of 14 supreme court judges on grounds of maladministration and misappropriation of judge’s finances. Not even a resignation can save the hoary-headed ex-justoce this time.
The Nigerian senate must see to it that Tanko is adequately probed for all his accumulated atrocities regardless his resignation.
