The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission and the Department of State Services have captured 48 people for their supposed lawless acts in the direction of the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board.
JUPEB is a high-level instructive assessment that qualifies its contender for induction into 200 Level in any Nigerian and unfamiliar colleges through direct passage.
The representative for ICPC, Mrs.. Azuka Ogugua, in an assertion in Abuja said the suspects were captured from Wellspring University, Benin, Edo State; Christopher University, Mowe, Ogun State; and Crown-Hill University, Ilorin, Kwara State, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
She said the joint activity, labeled ‘Activity Combo’, led as a team with the Ministry of Education, prompted the captures of the instructors, security officials, laborers, and understudies from a portion of the partaking colleges in the assessment.
Ogugua said, “Activity Combo was completed by the agents of ICPC and DSS in seven states after broad checking of instructional exercise schools supposedly known for famously compromising JUPEB assessments. This has prompted the capture of the President of Tutorial School Owners.
“The activity, an outcome of the supported time of reconnaissance and secret examinations spreading over a little while prompted numerous captures of suspects including guardians of up-and-comers of the test.
“Likewise captured were instructors and others associated with assessment misbehaviors and different lawless acts in the taking an interest foundation.”
