The competition was held on the 24th of November, 2021. Many Nigerian Universities were represented both private, state, and federal universities with their candidates. The First Runner Up, who represented Hezekiah University is Mr. Edward Victorhez Chukwuemeka.
Among all the universities in Nigeria, Hezekiah University, Umudi, Imo State emerged as the first runner-up in the just-concluded National Enterprise Challenge (NEC) competition proudly sponsored by NUC.
National Enterprise Challenge is an initiative of the Directors of Entrepreneurship Centers across Nigerian Universities and is being supported by the National Universities Commission (NUC). The competition is open to all current students irrespective of their field of study, undergraduate or postgraduate, full-time or part-time. They must however be studying in a Nigerian University. National Enterprise Challenge is geared towards improving the entrepreneurial mindset and motivating Nigerian University students to start and run ventures even while at school rather than looking for employment after graduation.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Hezekiah University is the first private university in Imo state and remains the cheapest private university in Nigeria. The reason why there is so much joy among Nigerian students is based on the victory of Hezekiah University that started in 2015 and has recorded a lot of successes in just a few years of inception.
Hezekiah University has graduated the third set of its students and the first and second are already done with camp and the third set is yet to be enrolled in the National Youth Service Corps.
Hezekiah University has established international connections with affiliation with the United Nation which made the UN mount its Flag in the University and the pace at which the University is moving over other universities in Nigeria. Since the inception of the University, Lecturers and Non-Academic Staff have not been denied their salaries for once and are always paid as at when due and other added benefits.
