The Federal Executive Council has endorsed the National Development Plan for 2021-2025.
An assertion gave on Thursday by Toyin Ibitoye, Special Assistant (Multimedia) to the Minister of Youths and Sports Development, said the endorsement will, without precedent for history ensure a N140bn help for Youth and Sports Development in Nigeria.
He said, The Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development is currently on the National Steering Committee of the National Development Plan.
Following the renaming of Sports as business by President Muhammadu Buhari last year, the National Development Plan will infuse N80bn into sports advancement for the following four years.
Prior to now, sports got zero spending plan in the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan. There was likewise a lift for the ministrys plan to convey a National Sports Industry Policy.
